Yeah, Alertpay WAS the REAL solution until some a**holes Fahkt it up by trying to launder money (preecks). I have a verified AP account (useless now) and a verified PayPal Acc, (still useless since 2008 – what’s the fuss, it’s ALWAYS been like, cool to deposit but F.U. to withdraw?!?). Guys, you’re in S.A. As long as you’re under this government’s narrow minded outlook, you’re pretty skrood! This wonderful country has successfully managed to collapse 6 of my private online enterprises, what, they’re not stealing enough ?!?!? Yes MoneyBookers is cool, I have a verified acc with them as well, but try and convert MB to say AP (ha ha, good luck!!). Bottom Line – You wanna get something going for yourself, try relocating or try an offshore acc, I’m now on this level. (oh, and picture this.. if you have a credit card, you may transact to your heart’s content, but if you don’t and you wish to do a money wire…. ha ha ha!! now they want to try and intercept and question your reasons (shame, how intelligently organized.))

I have been making payments to my suppliers abroad using PayPal with no hassles at all. Only pain is I cant accept and withdraw funds from them.

You can only put money into your paypal account but not withdraw into a SA account. This really sucks. Can a person have your money from your paypal account paid into a Money bookers or Alert pay account???

Linked to us S.A.’s not being able to receive payments from USA via PayPal due to the negative attitude of SARB, and S.A. Gov’t.
You may wish to kmow that you can get money into S.A. via a U.K. based bank account. With written permission from SARB of course.
Sample costs. BARCLAY’S BANK U.K =Deposit of BPS 10000.09 (Ten Thousand Pounds).
HSBC. U.K. Deposit = BPS 50000.00 (Fifty Thousand Pounds).
Other U.K. based banks all demand a sizeable deposit in BPS
Above info ex SARB and tele. calls to U.K.

I use moneybookers, and they’re great. I can’t remember the verification process being much of a pain, plus the bonus is that you can receive money. Just watch when SA users will be able to receive money via PayPal, then it will be the same thing.

However I can’t understand why you’re so glad to have a PayPal account you can’t do anything with except spend money? You can just as well use your credit card, and that process takes less than 5 minutes.

Whether it’s PayPal, SARS, the Forex laws, or the government, we as South Africans are being denied a great privilege not to be able to receive money through PayPal. After all, if we get money then we pay taxes, right? (even if it’s not income tax, you still pay fscking taxes when you xfer the money to SA)
