Boiling an egg

I have never learned how to boil an egg. Being in the kitchen, preparing food was just not a part of my life growing up. Then it kind of never needed to be something I knew how to do.

A few years ago (only) I wanted to learn how to prepare food.
I ran into a brick wall of embarrassment and doubt.

What came so natural to other people was clumsy to me. Everything was foreign. To sequence, judge, organise, and balance - not skills I had in the kitchen.

It became an exercise in self-state management. Learning to recognise when I start to feel embarrassed and staying with it. Seeing how everything is falling apart and being ok with that.

I have some skills now.
And I still cannot boil an egg.
