Only what is on rails can be derailed. Plans are sometimes.

Rituals too. A ritual has to proceed exactly as expected. That complete lack of deviation creates certainty and comfort.

Rituals reinforce. They cannot create.

Play, cannot be derailed. It is the certain exploration of what is new, novel, and unfolding.

Play, cannot reinforce. The art then, is to play with creating just enough ritual.

And playing with that, when that too derails.
