Pedestrian used to be contrasted with equestrian. Because sitting astride a horse crossing the country was more exhilarating than doing it by foot.

Pedestrian experience now imply "dull".

And yet: Being the one walking. Having the opportunity to meander, to stop, and to see the unfolding small details.

Pedestrian experiences are a rare luxury.
