Marcel Proust had his breakfast around 10 am. A croissant and strong black coffee.
From this, I derived a life rule for myself: If it is nearing 10 am, and I have not had breakfast yet - then the morning has been too busy, and I get to have a croissant with black coffee for breakfast.
It is not a healthy rule. It is a rule that allows me to notice that my morning went off the rails. A rule that rewards me with butter held together by flaky goodness to get back to balance.
And that makes it a healthy rule.
