Sweeties

I walk around and I hand out sweeties left and right. Sugar for everyone:

"That's awesome."
"You are doing well."

Words used to "make them feel good" or "help them be ok".

It is me, walking around, generating micro-drama by micro-rescuing. Putting hooks out into the world to continue the drama of making-other-people feel something.

Days that are sugar-free are harder on me. Those are the days that I have to trust that other people will take care of themselves, including asking for assistance when they need it.

It is not as immediately satisfying as the addictive hit of handing out and receiving sugar.

It is ultimately satiating.
