The finer things in life

Excess sugar dulls our taste buds and shapes them to want more sugar. Causing cravings for more, never to be satiated.

Removing the excess calibrates us to taste finer, more delicately: Allowing sweetness to appear where that excess seemed needed. Coffee, black. Tea, just so.

Removing excesses in my life allows me to find the sweetness that was clobbered: Just tea with a friend. Coffee, in the sun.

Being alive to the finer things in life.
