The human-nature rug

Our brains by nature are optimised to save energy. Wherever it can take a shortcut, answer automatically, and stay shallow — it will.

That is all human nature.

Prejudice is such an energy-saving device. It takes shortcuts, answers automatically and stay shallow.

Just because it is in our nature does not make it ok.

We get to choose whether we do the work or take the shortcut.
We get to choose to sweep it under the human-nature rug or do the work of properly cleaning the house.
