As a teenager, I saw my dad put a strap on his glasses, so that it could dangle from his neck.

I had two thoughts in one moment:

  • That, looks incredibly uncool
  • And that, seems deeply practical

Today I had a third thought: The moment I swing from “uncool” to “practical”, I too would be old.

Meaning, I think, that I will finally stop caring and start choosing what works for me first.

I am not there yet. I still do not have the courage to do what works for me.

And that, I find deeply uncool.
