Kids learn languages quicker than adults because they don't know how to not-know.

As an adult, I am hyper-aware that I do not know. I stumble and feel embarrassed because I do not-know what to say next.

It is the adults that can confidently say "cat food give" that learn joyfully — not-knowingly falling forward towards fluency.

It is that or being paralysed by the knowing that you do not-know.
