Performing for others

We are all performers in this world.

Performing being ok, being smart, being knowledgeable - these are some notable performances I am known for.

To perform is to provide for and to fulfil expectations. Some of those expectations are from me. Then there is the illusion that others have expectations of me.

I find it instructive to ask this: In which ways am I performing for others? What would happen if I don't?

What would happen if I stop creating the expectations that I then fulfil?
