That known stranger

I get great joy from being a known stranger. Being that customer that is known, greeted, and who's coffee order appears.

Conversely, I enjoy not being truly known — my reasons for being there, my history, my story being obscured and not explored. On top of that, I deeply want to be known and understood.

In one regular morning coffee, lives the paradox of what I want/don't want in this world.
