To compromise on needs is violence

To compromise on needs, values, and your identity is to be violent. To yourself first, and then to others.

All relationships build on compromise, has violence and suffering built in. What that looks like is not always obvious: Sometimes it may even look like teeth-gritting commitment.

This is kindness, to yourself and to others: Being flexible in your wants, behaviours, and projection for what commitment could look like.
